Heavy industrial materials such as paper, plastic film, aluminum foil, textiles, cable, and steel strip are commonly wound into large rolls for storage and transportation. As roll weight increases, the paper tube at the center is subjected to tremendous radial pressure.
Without proper reinforcement, the tube can deform or collapse, resulting in damaged products, unstable stacking, interrupted production, and expensive logistics losses.
Molded core plugs are high-density compressed wood inserts that are pressed into both ends of paper tubes. They significantly improve load-bearing capacity, protect roll integrity, and ensure safe handling throughout manufacturing, warehousing, and global transportation.
